Charles Kinkaid, younger son of General Kinkaid, rose to a senior position in the Indian Civil Service, where he worked during the first part of the 1900s. He wrote several books including "Forty Four Years a Public Servant". Parts of this book, which deal with his immediate family, have been extracted.
