From about 1950, she lived at "Corrie Cottage", Cranleigh, Surrey until her death. She enjoyed travelling, and went on regular cruises. A keen amateur pianist, she unfortunately suffered from rheumatism (like her brother George) which made playing the piano difficult as she got older. She left her Bechstein Upright Piano (with candle holders) to her great nephew, Geoffrey Henderson (1942).
